Group14 welcomed Washington State Representative Dan Newhouse (R-WA 4th District), Senator Judy Warnick (R), and Representative Alex Ybarra (R) from Washington State to BAM-2 in Moses Lake. Beginning with a tour of our advanced battery materials factory under construction, Group14 CEO Rick Luebbe and BAM-2 Plant Manager Don Kersey shared insights on how Group14 is positioned to support the growth of domestic manufacturing, strengthen the battery supply chain, and create new job opportunities in Grant County.

CEO Rick Luebbe highlighted Group14’s breakthrough SCC55? technology manufactured at its first commercial factory in Woodinville, which can enable charging in 10 minutes or less in any application from electric vehicles, to consumer electronics, to aviation. SCC55? offers five times more energy density than graphite, extending battery life by up to 50 percent.

During the tour, Representative Newhouse emphasized the importance of dependable and affordable EV systems, addressing consumer concerns about battery performance and reliability.
