A bit of GOOD news as some of our winery clients met with the The Wine Institute at 4:00 on March 16th to get clarity on the impact of county Shelter-in-Place Orders on wineries.
"Because essential businesses can engage in full operations, wineries do not need to reduce or minimize operations. Full operations include vineyard management, wine production operations, bottling, warehousing, sales, delivery and shipping."
Complete details of The Wine Institute email communication can be found HERE.
During this challenging time of social distancing during the containment of the Coronavirus, winery teams are transitioning from "in-person" visitor experiences to "virtual tasting experiences" leveraging a variety of tools and technologies. DTC Wine Workshops founder Sandra Hess has launched a new "Virtual Tasting Program Setup" web training to assist winery teams across the nation. Sandra explains, "Today is the day for wine producers to meet consumers where they are by leveraging digital tools and virtual meeting solutions". "This is an initiative that some of our clients have explored over the past couple of years but not really dove into. We are excited to finally help a variety of wine brands get started with Virtual Tasting offerings".
So far, two dates have been set for the web training program on March 18th and March 23rd. "Virtual Wine Tasting Setup in 5 Minutes or Less" webinar registration details can be found HERE.
Sandra will also be exploring the use of Live Chat and SMS Text features with winery teams during this time of planned tasting room closures. More details will be shared including case studies over the weeks ahead. To stay connected, signup to receive DTC Wine Sales VLOG releases HERE.
