Update - Covid-19

It has been a quiet few days in the Bhangals Construction Consultants office, everyone is in shock and panic about Covid-19 and here we are as business owners trying to figure out what on earth we are actually going to do.

Over the past few days, I have spoken to dozens of business owners in lots of different sectors and everyone is in a very similar boat with very limited answers.

We have spent the last 48 hours strategising various scenarios for our business in order to maintain the best level of service but to ensure our team are safe and kept in the loop. We have discussed the following issues:

• Employee safety
• Financing and cost-cutting
• The longevity of cash flow
• Client service levels
• Working from home
• Lockdown situations

This is just an outline of what is being discussed behind closed doors. Yesterday we had a very frank team meeting with all our team and it was down the lines of sticking together because we are a ‘work family’ and we need to get through this together and think of the company but our colleagues and their families. Everyone has different situations and challenges but it is important to understand these in order for us to be able to support each other.

I am 100% grateful for the support I have had from my team at these very unsettling times and I am confident that they are behind us following yesterday’s meeting.
