Upcoming Workshops at PAACADEMY

We are excited to announce that PAACADEMY is hosting a series of upcoming workshops designed to help you enhance your skills and knowledge in various fields. Whether you're looking to improve your design skills, expand your software knowledge, or learn about the latest trends in architectural technologies.

Check out this newsletter and our website for more information on the upcoming dates and topics. We look forward to seeing you there!

Spatial Effect with MidJourney

Joshua Vermillion's Spatial Effect with MidJourney workshop will also examine and compare the differences in the outputs from various MidJourney models and workflows (for instance, MJ’s v3 and v4 models, the remastering and blend options, and adjusting aspect ratios) all of which affect the coherence and “creativity” of the results. The workshop is taking place on March 4-5, 2023, from 17:00 to 21:00 GMT. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn about the various workflows in MidJourney and integrate AI into your own design process.

Grasshopper for Beginners 1.0 - Digital Member Only

Grasshopper for Beginners 1.0 is a weekend-long workshop, meant to teach the core principles of Grasshopper3D and provide the foundations for further advanced courses over 2 sessions. At the end of the course, students will have a solid knowledge of the fundamental principles and tools required to properly utilize Grasshopper.?The course is taking place on March 11-12, 2023, from 11:00 to 15:00 GMT.

Vertical Sinuosity

Led by Cherylene M. Shangpliang, this beginner-level workshop will equip you with various techniques of polygon mesh modeling using Autodesk Maya to design complex geometries and architectural forms.? The processes covered in the workshop will enable participants to design architectural projects within the virtual realm to overcome existing conditions and constraints and create and experience exceptional environments. The workshop is taking place on March 18-19, 2023, from 14:00 to 18:00 GMT.

Creative Artifacts

The aim of Creative Artifacts led by Arturo Tedeschi is to explore and develop innovative concepts for art installations and creative interventions, such as sculptures, furniture, visual elements, and displays. The focus is on the interplay between cutting-edge solutions and traditional contexts. The ultimate goal is to equip participants with a new framework for creative strategies, informed decision-making, and computational techniques, essential skills for turning concepts into tangible projects in the era of AI. The workshop is scheduled to take place on March 25-26, 2023, from 17:00 to 21:00 GMT.?

Meta-Fluid Studio 3.0

Mariana Cabugueira's Meta-Fluid Studio 3.0 explores the quality and power of Fluid Design to conceive cyber-urban environments in virtual cities. The goal is to create a free-standing virtual city designed by 30 different designers teamed up in 3s. For this studio, some teams will create meta-archi typologies, and some designers will join skills to create a ‘meta-urban’ base.?The workshop is scheduled to take place on April 30 - June 25, 2023.?

Computational Design: NEXT 13

Computational Design: NEXT is a joint effort by some of the world’s leading experts in computational design to create an online learning platform that will also serve as a full-fledged online conference. Computational Design: NEXT 13 takes another step forward in exploring new-age design technologies by worldwide technology champions. The conference will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 15 – 16, 2023, and will include workshops, panel discussions, technology demos, and presentations.
