Revit For Beginners 1.0 - Digital Member Only
Revit for Beginners 1.0 will focus on introducing participants to Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Autodesk Revit. We will be working on typical building typologies, such as a residential building, and participants will learn how to create 3D models and generate 2D documentation using Revit. The workshop is taking place on April 8-9, 2023, from 17:00 to 21:00 GMT.
Vertical Sinuosity (Maya +Enscape) - Studio Cherylene Shangpliang
Led by Cherylene M. Shangpliang, the Vertical Sinuosity workshop will equip you with various techniques of polygon mesh modeling using Autodesk Maya to design complex geometries and architectural forms. The processes covered in the workshop will enable participants to design architectural projects within the virtual realm to overcome existing conditions and constraints and create and experience exceptional environments. The workshop is taking place on April 1-2, 2023, from 14:00 to 18:00 GMT.
Meta-Fluid Studio 3.0 - Mariana Cabugueira
Mariana Cabugueira's Meta-Fluid Studio 3.0 explores the quality and power of Fluid Design to conceive cyber-urban environments in virtual cities. The goal is to create a free-standing virtual city designed by 30 different designers teamed up in 3s. Some teams will create meta-archi typologies for this studio, and some designers will join skills to create a ‘meta-urban’ base. The workshop is scheduled for April 30 - June 25, 2023.
Social Media For Designers – Studio Hamid Hassanzadeh
This course aims to showcase the potential of using social media in establishing a credible and strong online presence on the internet. We will focus on the ways of choosing the right social media platforms, analyzing their data, and generating effective strategies that align with the target audience. The course will provide a solid understanding of producing presskits, creating engaging content, methods of making high-quality publications, and interacting with their audience. The workshop is scheduled for May 12 - 13, 2023.
Midjourney Design - Studio Tim Fu
This course will be an interactive and fun session, where participants can listen, participate, and ask questions. Various techniques and spreadsheets for Midjourney V5 will be shared. Participants will learn to undertake commissioned projects using AI, learning to curate, evaluate, and critique their results toward their own goals. The course is optimized for 100 participants, and each individual will be able to contribute to the collective knowledge of this community. We will discuss, evaluate, and inspire each other’s work. The workshop is scheduled for April 22 – 23, 2023.
Computational Dreamscape – Studio Eliana Nigro
The workshop will explore the different ways in which design can contribute to enhancing a sense of community, identity, and relationship with others, offering spaces where everyone can play, rest, and enjoy time with their loved ones. These recreational areas can encourage active movement, creative exploration, and the development of social skills. Also, as part of our role in supporting the recent women’s movement in Iran, we are giving 20 free tickets to Iranian women. You can apply from this link. The workshop is scheduled for April 29 – 30, 2023.
Computational Design: NEXT is a joint effort by some of the world’s leading experts in computational design to create an online learning platform that will also serve as a full-fledged online conference. Computational Design: NEXT 13 takes another step forward in exploring new-age design technologies by worldwide technology champions. The conference will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 15 – 16, 2023, and will include workshops, panel discussions, technology demos, and presentations.
