As a Unix System Administrator with AIX, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our Unix-based systems. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure while working closely with the IT team to meet the organization's objectives.
- Install, configure, and maintain Unix-based systems, with a primary focus on AIX.
- Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and performance.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, including system crashes and application failures.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and access controls to protect system integrity.
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute IT projects.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide 24/7 support for critical system issues, participating in an on-call rotation as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to improve system efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Unix System Administrator, with a focus on AIX.
- Strong proficiency in shell scripting and automation.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox).
- Familiarity with storage systems and network protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as IBM Certified System Administrator - AIX or similar are a plus.

- Maintain and troubleshoot middleware-related certificates and security configurations.
- Deploy, update, and optimize applications within the UNIX and Qlik environments.
- Utilize PowerShell for file transfer operations on Windows Server 2016.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in English, with German language proficiency considered a valuable asset.
