?? Upcoming Changes to Email Service Notification Recipients ??

Message Center has always been the primary channel for updates on your Microsoft services, and occasionally, you’ll receive email service notifications about important changes that require action, planned maintenance, or other announcements.

Microsoft is implementing a new policy for receiving transactional email notifications to enhance access and streamline recipient management in your organization.

?? How Does This Affect You?

Historically, these notifications were sent to users assigned the System Administrator role, with the option to add more recipients via PowerShell.

Starting January 17, 2025, only users assigned the Dynamics 365 Administrator or Power Platform Administrator roles in the Microsoft 365 admin center or Microsoft Entra admin center will receive these email notifications.

?? Important: This change does NOT affect Message Center email notifications.

? What Do You Need to Do?

Please make sure the users intended to receive these notifications have the required roles assigned by January 17, 2025, to avoid disruption in receiving service communications.
