Upbeat ... (written 2016)

I have had a few disappointments recently. I didn’t work on my presentation on my day off, I wasted a chance to tackle some? … I realised I had a chance to go to the writer’s group and failed to provide Margie with the copy of my document before extremely late on Wednesday morning. Pretty much staying up to the Infomercial hour.

I should have worked on this earlier, I just fell apart earlier. I am not that great at being organised. It’s been so long since I actually did anything creative that tasked my brain to present stuff that is fit for an audience. I think when I recall previous times I even attempted doing things like that I would use the title in some abstract way, reinterpreting the words.

However the title was “Upbeat” … that was disappointing. That was very disappointing. There’s literally not much I can do with that, and yes you might be thinking … “Wait, this piece might have an interesting twist”. After some long boring rant, there may be some twist in the tail, where a surprise twist or epiphany or joke comes out of nowhere, and makes a rather downbeat story becomes upbeat.

Well if it helps, you can keep thinking that!
