Up-skill for sustainability

Up-skill for sustainability

On some level we all know that every business needs to invest in understanding how to respond to the evolving stakeholder demands around climate mitigation - but accessing clear guidance is incredibly hard as there is a lack of leadership in this space.

Even well-meaning organisations are unclear what to prioritise, how to get ahead of climate related risks and where to find opportunities to thrive.

To fill this gap we have created an online webinar and workshop series to enable each participant to progress with a solid appreciation for the foundation issues that will impact business responsibilities over the coming months and years.

The is the 5th cohort to go thorough this set of modules and the content reflects the consultancy work that I undertake with corporate clients based on my 20 years in strategic sustainability. It will drown out the noise and break down the information that every organisation, in any industry or geography, must learn to embed.

Testimonials:

"illana is one of those rare people from whom you never cease learning. An excellent dot joiner - she presents sustainability through stories that make things truly personal." Dr Jasmine Pradissitto FRSA

"Great course and very valuable to exchange thoughts, ideas and ways to move forward on the path to Sustainability. Looking forward to our next meeting." Roger Coenen SCR?CFA?M.Sc.

"I’ve just completed Be Better ‘Just Start!’ and highly recommend it – whether you’re interested in deepening your knowledge on sustainability or are an experienced ESG practitioner – this course covers all the bases. Just Start! provides a holistic understanding, from greenwashing to looking at sustainability from both the macro socio-economic and environmental issues to the micro nuances of how we apply to that to our industry/business.

There was a good balance between optimism and the urgency of environmental challenges, and the format allowed us to engage with other group members, which made for rich and stimulating conversations in the sessions!" Beverley Ferrara

A little about me:

Illana is a sustainable development thought leader, board advisor, keynote speaker and connector. Understanding that reporting on sustainability is fast becoming the keystone to business success, she is committed to pushing the needle on credible sustainability at C-Suite and beyond. 20 years ago, she recognised the lack of business leadership to embed sustainability, so she committed to acquiring a deep knowledge of the global issues and local nuances to help her clients navigate the necessary paradigm shift in knowledge and behaviour.

She now couples her 30 years’ experience of strategic business growth with her science-based knowledge to act as CSO for a number of firms, helping them identify the risks and opportunities in the sustainability revolution as well as navigating the complexities of the ‘alphabet soup’ of reporting frameworks; ESG, SDG’s, GRI, BCorp, and ISO.

Illana’s work has included:Surety – Surety, Yellow Sub Hydro, WEX, ResetConnect, Sea Containers, The PFA,Monaco Yacht Show, The Bank of England, ICAP, Monaco Grand Prix, The ForcesFoundation, The Red Cross, Working Title Films, BBC, Oil of Olay, Dunhill,Cartier, Starbucks, Gumball 3000, Ian Wright, Orlando Bloom, Kate Moss,Margaret Thatcher, David Beckham, Jodie Kidd, Tony Hawk, and more.
