Unwrapping the Gift of AI: Fueling AI Powered Marketing Teams in 2024

If there's one constant, it's change. What a wave of change it has been for marketers in 2023! As we turn the page to 2024, AI is helping us drive more relevant, reliable, and responsible business outcomes for our teams, and our customers.

I’ve been using Microsoft Copilot and I’m already seeing the benefits in helping me focus and prioritize my daily deluge of email, drafting meeting summaries to scan highlights and action items, summarizing Teams messages, and identifying common themes across team documents.

I recently came across an article that describes this season for digital marketers as 'building the plane while flying it.’ While we still have much to learn, AI is helping us level up our game as marketers by simplifying and automating marketing tasks, inspiring new ideas, and powering customer communication and personalization at scale.

As a leader, I spend a good amount of time listening and learning from my teams where we can help them feel more productive and creative in their work. As we approach 2024, here are three game changers that AI is bringing my team to streamline tasks, spark creativity, fuel faster decision-making, and enhance customer outcomes in the upcoming year:

1.???? Simplify and automate marketing tasks.

We could all use a little more time in our days. AI is a productivity booster, helping us free up resources so our teams can be more creative and get more done in less time. We are already seeing its benefits in simplifying our workflows in the execution of our SEO strategy, automating personalized social media posts, sorting through large data sets, generating reports, optimizing localization and lead scoring. It is also sparking the teams’ creativity in content creation, building web copy and blog posts, emails and subject lines, video transcripts, and creating unique and compelling visuals for our campaigns.

2.???? Deliver customer communication + personalization at scale. ??

Delivering personalized communication at scale is now possible in amazing new ways with AI. AI gives us the ability to look deeper into the data to better understand customer needs, traits, anticipate behaviors, and personalize each step in the customer journey in real-time. We are also able to deploy personalized communication at unprecedented speed, resulting in improved customer engagement and ROI. Events are seeing a boost from AI, improving the speed and relevancy of communications with customers before, during and after events.

3.???? Drive real business outcomes.

Finally, AI can ultimately assist in driving better decisions and business outcomes. AI can help us track and measure progress on our KPIs, the success of our marketing campaigns, and make predictions about future customer behavior so we can adjust course as needed.

When used responsibility and strategically, AI can be the marketer’s gift that keeps on giving.?
