Here are some quick tips to help you unwrap your own success!

  1. Year-End Job Boards Check: Some companies have budget allocations that need to be used by the end of the fiscal year. Keep a close eye on job boards, and the executives in your network, as there might be a surge in job postings. No joke we reiceved three on Saturday!
  2. Update Your LinkedIn Profile: Use the holiday downtime to refresh your LinkedIn profile. Showcase any recent achievements, update your headline, and ensure your profile picture is professional.

Many organizations host festive gatherings, providing opportunities to connect with professionals in a more relaxed setting before the holidays during the holidays people have to be at the office but don't necessarily want to be actually working :)
  5. And with that...Volunteer for Seasonal Opportunities: Explore volunteer opportunities related to your field during the holidays. This a great way to give back, AND it may also open doors to new connections and potential job leads.
  6. Seasonal Greetings in Applications: Inject a bit of holiday cheer into your application emails. A brief seasonal greeting can add a personal touch and make a hiring manager smile.
  7. Set Realistic Goals: Understand that the job search pace might be slow so set realistic expectations and focus on quality applications rather than quantity.
