Grid Inverter Development Moves Forward
In April, Hillcrest announced a new collaboration with Powertech Labs to provide testing and consulting services in the development and validation of Hillcrest’s ZVS grid inverter.

First In-Vehicle Demo Complete
In March, Hillcrest achieved its first in-vehicle demonstration.?It took place in a Hercules Electric Mobility powered E-boat on Orchard Lake, near Detroit, Michigan.

Breakthrough Results in EMC Chamber Testing
In March, Hillcrest completed EMC chamber testing at a certified lab selected by a European OEM. Results suggest Hillcrest’s Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) traction inverter could provide substantial improvements and system-level cost savings when compared to inverters now on the market.
“Recent EMC chamber testing with the European OEM showcased our technology’s ability to achieve significantly better EMC during all tested operating points compared to existing inverters. This breakthrough will allow for a reduction or potential elimination of the expensive and heavy shielding, filters and laminates currently required in high-power systems.”
