Unveiling the Spark: A Glimpse of What's Ahead for Hillcrest
Hillcrest Energy Technologies Ltd.
Hillcrest is investing in energy solutions that will power a more sustainable and electrified future.
In December, we shared a recap of a productive 2023 for Hillcrest. Now, it’s time to take a look into the future to see what we have in store for 2024!
What should investors be focused on? Chief Commercialization Officer James Bolen breaks it down: ?? watch the video.
2024 Key Milestone: Commercial Engagements
Our primary focus this year is to amplify our customer engagements and secure commercial commitments. In the first quarter, Hillcrest is pleased to announce secured demonstrations and advanced testing opportunities with four automotive OEMs and a global Tier One supplier. With the support of Canadian grant resources, the Company will also complete a notable in-water demonstration with Hercules Electric Mobility's e-boat. Each project and commercial discussion is unique, requiring consideration of individual specifications and processes.

Acceleration of Technology Development
Going forward, Hillcrest will be using its next-generation EV inverter for demonstration and advanced testing programs. This cutting-edge inverter, leveraging 350-kilowatt silicon carbide (SiC) technology, is designed for applications up to 1,000 volts.
As shown below in our latest infinite persistence capture, our ability to eliminate switching losses has allowed us to achieve extremely smooth voltage transitions and virtually no overshoot or oscillation (ringing), and hence, very low electromagnetic interference (EMI). We believe these benefits exceed the performance of any other EV inverter currently on the market.
Hillcrest's ZVS-enabled power modules lie at the center of this technology, not only elevating the performance and power density of our own EV inverter but also opening new avenues for standalone sales. Read the press release or watch James Bolen explain it: ?? Proactive Investors Interview.
Stationary and Grid-Tied Systems
Hillcrest is working to provide value to a wider customer base as we expand the application of our soft switching ZVS technology to stationary applications and the power grid. Here, the benefits of our technology are similar to those in an EV system, where efficiency, access to higher switching frequencies and signal quality exceed current solutions on the market, and that saves people money.
