She has been a Licensed Insurance Agent for approximately three years and is currently licensed in 7 states. Interestingly, her academic background is in Language and Translation in Immigration Law. However, she observes a common thread between the two, as both ultimately revolve around the shared goal of helping others.

What are some of the key highlights or accomplishments in your career that you are most proud of?

Some of the key highlights or accomplishments in my career are: I have broadened my knowledge in the insurance world by acquiring licenses in many states quickly. Being able to educate clients about the importance of insurance and also being able to help hundreds of families by providing them with protection and peace of mind.

The tech / BPO industry can be challenging. Can you share a significant challenge and how you overcame it?

The biggest challenge has been adapting to the "virtual" world. Not being able to have face-to-face conversations, personalized conversations, etc. For example, when emailing, sometimes we can misinterpret the tone or believe they are upset if they send an exclamation mark (when they are just being nice). It's easy to fall into that self-doubt when dealing with clients virtually. I have overcome this by not taking things personally, trusting my knowledge to solve them, and being sure and confident in my abilities. "Adapt and Overcome."

How do you see the role of women in Tech / BPO evolving, and what can companies do to support and promote diversity in the industry?

Companies can support and promote diversity in the industry by promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation that values diversity and inclusion and encourages women to share their ideas, perspectives, and experiences. Accommodate flexible work arrangements that suit a variety of life situations, such as part-time roles, remote work, and hybrid models, that allow women to balance their personal (mothers) and professional responsibilities.

Balancing work and personal life is often a challenge.?

How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance in a demanding industry?

Thankfully, VIVA allows me to be on a hybrid schedule, so I can easily balance my personal and professional life. To me, this is a deal breaker because I am a mom, and my daughter is my priority always, and this flexibility allows me to do my job, which is very demanding, but also be there for my daughter and her needs.

In Women's Month, what does this month mean to you, and how can we all contribute to empowering women in the tech sector?

We play an important role in society; we should be applauded daily for all we do. Let us motivate each other never to feel belittled by anything or anyone. We always set our goals realistically high and always know and remember our worth. And stand for what we believe in regardless of the mainstream opinion.
