There is one thing though that strikes ever so slightly and I know it seems to be semantics, but based on the advantages you list, I assume you are referring to process modeling and not process mapping, or did I miss something? The biggest difference being that process mapping is usually a collection of separate, non-connected flow charts whereas process modeling results in a relation database of information with a visual front-end on top of it (the process model). Without the connections between objects in process maps, there is no way to use them for resource optimization (at least not in an effective and efficient way), or for impact analysis of change, to name just two. What are your thoughts on this? tnx...
