Unveiling The Journey: From Vision to Reality in Music Sync ???

Welcome to my LinkedIn newsletter! I’m thrilled to have you here as I share the incredible journey of a creative entrepreneur navigating the dynamic world of music with authenticity and purpose.

Back in 2022, I had a vision—a dream to organize an all African American panel focused on sync licensing. Fast forward to 2023, that dream became a reality on the grand stage of NAMM , the world’s largest music conference. I had 8 African Americans on stage discussing sync and production music. It was a groundbreaking moment that opened up a world of opportunities over the past two years, not just for me but literally for hundreds of people in the music production space. Thankful to John Mlynczak , David Schwartz Zach Phillips and the whole NAMM team for the opportunity.

As I gear up for what will be my 5th NAMM panel (and the 3rd year in a row with NAMM), featuring some of the most impressive music supervisors, I'm also preparing for a whirlwind of chances in Q1 this year. I'll be gracing some of the globe’s biggest stages, including SXSW in Texas and Advertising Week in London.

Here's the takeaway: You never know who’s watching your journey. At one of my NAMM panels in 2024, the program manager for SXSW was in the room—a testament to the unforeseen opportunities that arise when you pursue your passions boldly.

Another vital lesson—document everything. Each city I travel to, I connect with a local videographer to capture those moments. In Cali? Aaron Cruz is my go-to guy for documenting the experience.

Stay focused on your journey and your path. While the destination might be unclear, staying true to your vision can lead to incredible things.
