2 个月I support all this, but I think the first thing is to get the editors on board. The tools are of no use if editors ignore malpractice. I recently reviewed a manuscript for a reputable journal, which had 15 co-authors. There was clear evidence that not all of them had met the ICMJE Authorship Guidelines: for one thing, the last sentence of the Discussion ended in mid air, so they clearly hadn't read the final version. There were several other indicators, but when I pointed this out, the editor seemed to ignore my advice. I have come across other examples as a reviewer, with the same results. It's difficult to know what we can do about this. I sympathise with the authors in our "publish or perish" culture. We really do need to change this. Tools are helpful, but only part of the answer.
