Women often find themselves entangled in the fog of uncertainty, grappling with hidden patterns that hinder their progress. ?
A prevalent issue is the 'good girl' conditioning that many women tend to experience. I sometimes feel constrained by this mindset, overthinking things I should simply release, and fully embrace my authentic self.?
Simple.Hah! Not always easy.?
While we all experience hormonal cycles, not just women, these are not the sole contributors to a foggy mind. For several years, I suffered from what turned out to be a chronic migraine, persisting for over five years. I tried various remedies—sleep, painkillers, food, more sleep—but nothing seemed to work.?
Increasing my meditation practice has been transformative, calming me and helping me to ground myself in new ways. It was through meditation that I stumbled upon one of the real causes of my headaches: tooth decay. Meditation became a daily commitment, allowing me to uncover the hidden patterns that initially triggered my headaches.
What I have found that makes meditation work is that it helps me behave intuitively, essentially trusting my inner answers and knowing.?
Meditation hasn't resolved all my problems, and I still worry about certain issues, such as debt. The remnants of past financial missteps linger, from a time when I recklessly juggled debts by acquiring more debt. Transferring balances and maxing out new credit cards was a painful reality.?
Relief came when I consolidated my debts into a Debt Management Plan (DMP), experiencing an immense sense of freedom. Initially, the agony was over when I dumped the debts into a Debt Management Plan, it felt so freeing.?
?
Who was I back then??
I was a creative person estranged from my creativity and patience. Hijacked by this craving for immediate gratification, avoiding the painful yet necessary journey of unlocking the Pandora's box of creativity that fuels my life. Then add layers of people-pleasing from childhood and adulthood. If I continue to build my identity based on a skewed interpretation of my childhood, that ego-driven persona will remain my adversary unless I invest time in self-discovery and growth.?
Yet I noticed that the DMP wasn't cutting it when it came to the emotions and thinking behind the behaviour.?
By confronting my addiction to mismanaging money, I uncovered a deeper truth: the road I had been avoiding was tied to my relationship firstly with myself, which translated into my relationship with debt. I realised that my reliance on debt mirrored my first long-term relationship. Both served as shields, protecting me from confronting myself and hindering my personal growth; that critical voice comes from that 'good girl' conditioning place too. ?
My head was telling me irrational lies.?
Debt has not always been a part of my life or story. I am currently solvent; however, debt is available to us all.?
What is way more important is living the best version of myself without debt. Not because debt has not been useful in my life, but because the attachment to using it reduced my choices.?
If everything starts with a thought, then I would say my thinking was stuck.?
For me, debt use has been the thing I have done when I have lost the patience to wait.?
I thought I couldn't live alone and be money-healthy, I thought I would fall apart and be crushed by the situations of life. No matter who you are, facts remain, everyone experiences life curve balls. ?
The hidden pattern that I have come to understand is, although my creativity is free - not what I purchased through academia or any other means - it is still a power that I get to use for free, freely.?
At first glance, the challenges life throws at us may not appear identical to those faced by friends or family. Instead, they tend to be uniquely tailored to align with our individual soul's journey."?
