Purpose & Profit

I was thinking the other day about some of the portfolio and Dottt has landed in a good place.

Currently I’m working with lots of organisations with a real sense of purpose.

• A renewable energy business.
• A media company who provides nonpartisan news on the platforms where Gen Z live their lives. They provide young people with approachable journalism to help them understand and navigate the world around them.
• A charity focused on mental health and well-being for young people.
• A business building inclusivity into the workplace platform.

I love them all and I’m all in on the purpose.

But for investors in our cohort the other P -?Profit is equally important and is also something we need to understand.

We're enjoying helping these businesses join the dots, and getting clients on a road to Purpose with Profit.

There are 2 other P’s required:

Pockets and Patience!

The other hot topic of course is AI.

Everything and everybody is working out what to do with AI, and asking the same question: is this a game changer or the end?

You will have read lots about the applications possible with AI, some of it from me!

We say embrace and play. It's exciting! Plus being super efficient & effective in so many use cases.

I think you should be briefing your teams to look at all the options available. It is?game changing tech.

Personally I’ve taken to writing poems as thank you notes to friends using ChatGPT and they love it.

Dottt continues to advise, raise money, find clients and invest in start-ups.

We have helped promote our client businesses?- getting them match fit for sales and raising.?In the past couple of months, two of our projects secured next phase funding and they are now on their way!

And we continue to scout for exciting start-ups that have great investment potential.
