Unveil the Genius

Meeting today Professor Gérard Mourou, the Nobel Laurate in Physics 2018, and attending his lectio magistralis at Politecnico di Milano on Extreme Light will be one of my greatest emotion but the best has yet to come.

Tomorrow we will have the awesome honor to host Prof. Gérard Mourou at Quanta System and to attend the interview held by Beppe Severgnini, editor of 7, the weekly supplement to Corriere della Sera, for which he’s an op-ed columnist since 1995 and contributing opinion writer for The New York Times, since 2013.

Thousands of words have already been written about Chirped Pulse Amplification , the Mourou’s invention that radically altered the power development of laser systems and effectively made it possible to overcome the limits imposed by optical damage, but who is really Gérard Mourou? Schopenhauer wrote that Genius hits a target no one else can see and, therefore, we are waiting with great interest and curiosity for the interview conducted by Beppe Severgnini who definetely will succeed in the challenging task to unveil us the Mourou’s genius.
