Is this unusual method the end to Stretch Marks?

The accepted bi-product of pregnancy still strikes fear into the majority of pregnant women in the UK. Current estimates suggest between 75% and 90% of women will develop stretch marks during their pregnancy. A range of creams and lotions fly off the shelves each year, with none proven to actually eradicate this ongoing problem.

Hopefully, a solution looks to have presented itself.

The celebrities tell the world about it, the Amazon reviewers swear by it and most importantly the clinical trials prove it. The award winning ‘Secret Saviours’ launched in 2016 on the back of a successful clinical trial and now can proudly claim to be the only product on the market to prevent stretch marks, rather than treat them.

Sophie Hooper, CEO of Secret Saviours, says: “There are lots of fad treatments out there which make spurious claims about treatment of stretch marks but there is nothing on the market that prevents them forming in the first place.”

The team behind Secret Saviours has broad and deep experience, from creator and vascular surgeon Stephen Barker, to the commercial and marketing expertise of Sophie Hooper, ex MD at Saatchi & Saatchi, and a mum. Also on board is Tony Carr, ex Mothercare and The Early Learning Centre.

How does it work?

Secret Saviours works by utilising a patented bump support band with a number of soft bubble-like pads to gently grip and support the skin, spreading the strain of the extra load, disrupting and dissipating points of stress so that the skin can’t actually tear in a straight line deep in the dermis which is when there is a risk of stretch marks forming. The clinical trial saw 7 out of 10 ladies not experience any stretch marks and 2 out of 10 seeing a considerable decrease in stretch marks.

You can help this company grow

The company is currently crowdfunding through established equity funding platform ‘InvestingZone’ in order to expand and spread the word of this groundbreaking treatment. Therefore, everyday investors can support Secret Saviours before the launch in Mothercare in early 2017.

Jean Miller of InvestingZone says; “This is a much needed product and it is our pleasure to present the opportunity for everyday investors to share in the growth of this business. It’s not often that proven new technologies hit the market and we know from spending patterns in pregnancy that there is a great appetite for this type of treatment.”
