Untreated Jaundice Can Cause Deafness

Lloyd Henderson was born with normal hearing but, as a result of untreated jaundice in the first few days of life, he sustained an insult to his auditory nerve, which has had a severe impact on his ability to hear speech. 

I have recently filed a Writ in the Supreme Court of Victoria on behalf of Lloyd to assist Lloyd and his family in funding the additional costs associated with his disability. 

Lloyd's mother, Rochelle, wants new parents to know more about the seriousness of untreated jaundice so this does not happen to another child:  

"It's heartbreaking to think that the events of a single day would have such a devastating and lifelong impact on our little boy. . . We'd like to see much greater public awareness about jaundice, so that all parents can understand how dangerous it can be if it's not properly treated."
