Until next time!

Until next time!

“I want to be in the arena. I want to be brave with my life. And when we make the choice to dare greatly, we sign up to get our asses kicked. We can choose courage or we can choose comfort, but we can’t have both. Not at the same time.” Brene Brown

Of all the crazy decisions I have made in my career by far, this one seems to dominate the list - a decision to leave Google, at a moment of extraordinary & transformational growth. The type of growth I may or may not get to experience in my entire career.. KRAZY...But I have chosen to walk in the arena & get my ass kicked, not knowing what the outcome might be. I have decided to take a role outside Google.

As I look back at the last 3 years, I am grateful for the opportunities that Google presented me with, for the world class technology I worked with, for the unbelievable brand that Google is, for the immaculate workplaces and amenities, for the opportunity to witness world leaders in close proximity and most importantly the insanely amazing treats at the coffee hubs :). I am grateful for them all and many more!

In the end, only one thing matters. The thing that made it the most difficult to make this decision. It’s the people I worked with. The smartest bunch I have ever worked with. Imposter Syndrome is real. But that’s what keeps us grounded, that’s what makes us want to be better everyday, that’s what pushes us over the cliff and that is exactly what I will miss the most about Google. The incredible people I got to call my team, my mentors, my leaders, my partners, my customers and most importantly many of you I now call friends. Thank you for our time together, for every experience shared, friendship built, opportunity offered & memories made!

I am truly excited for what’s ahead for you, and for me. I am confident our paths will cross again. Until then, can we be sure to keep in touch, grab a coffee, call each other once in a while, wish each other for birthdays, send anniversary gifts, hang out at our kids birthday parties.…. you get the idea….

Two things become indisputable with age

  1. Time is the single most valuable thing.
  2. Our experiences are what we make of them, not what’s offered to us.

I am thankful for the experiences I have had, while I called Google my home for the last 3 years!
