Unsung Heroes: The Contact At Once! Product House “Olympians”

Even though the 2016 Olympics just ended, I’m already anxiously awaiting the 2020 games. I love seeing the spirit that drives each athlete. While most may live relatively unknown (until they hit it big in advertising sponsorships!), I think they all shine like heroes during their events.

That’s how I feel about the Contact At Once! Product House, too!

They may not get featured in the spotlight very often, but they are crucial to why Contact At Once!, a LivePerson Company, is a leading provider of mobile messaging for so many industries. We’re one of the few chat/text providers who actually creates and owns our technology, which gives us the flexibility to adapt to changing needs.

Meet the Ones Who Turn Ideas into Reality

In fact, the Product House reminds me of a relay team in my favorite track and field event. It’s broken into several specialized groups—Product Management, Research & Development, Quality Assurance and Production—and they all work together to enable more powerful connections, faster responses, better reporting and all kinds of product innovations:

  • The Product Management team dreams up the innovative ideas for the actual Contact At Once! software you use, based on what will meet the latest industry demands and keep your business ahead of the curve. (For instance, several brands are in beta and managing Facebook Messenger conversations through the Contact At Once! platform. Exciting stuff!)
  • The Research & Development team builds out the ideas from the Product Management team. This is a simplified description, but we probably wouldn’t understand how they do it anyway!
  • The Quality Assurance team ensures that those new features and products perform properly. They test and tweak and test and tweak…so that you know what you’re getting will produce real results.
  • The Production team then deploys the product, monitors its performance, performs upgrades and keeps everything running smoothly and securely.

Pest Prevention & Fortune-Tellers

The team’s end goal is to make sure Contact At Once! delivers the connections, conveniences and results our clients rely on. And that’s a balance between creating new capabilities and squashing a few bugs along the way! They work as a sort of “pest prevention” with our Support team to prevent any known issue from reoccurring, and they even try to foresee what will be needed down the line.

As you can imagine, playing psychic can be tough. Just think back on how quickly we’ve changed the way we do business, thanks to mobile advancements! But this is the kind of race on which the Product House thrives. (Here are a few more examples of their innovation at work.)

Because Practice Makes Perfect…

Although this team is pretty hush-hush about their projects until they’re ready to launch, they were excited to share one that’s coming soon: version 4.0 of our Contact At Once! mobile app! I got a sneak peek, and it’s our most streamlined, user-friendly interface ever (you’re going to love it). There’s no set date to put on your calendar…but a little birdie told me it will definitely be available before January.

So if smart, powerful technology were its own Olympic Games, the Contact At Once! Product House would ensure we (and our customers) won. Every race. Every year. It’s time they got recognition for that!
