Email Footers: An Underappreciated Part of Marketing Emails

In this section, we will try to explain how to get the most out of your newsletter footer

First of all, what’s an email footer? Simply put, an email footer is the very last section of the email template. Unsubscribe links in Emails: What to say and where to place them?

Getting unsubscribes is not pleasant. As marketers, we put a lot of effort into making the unsubscribe journey as easy as possible so that the customer, the subscriber, would be pleased even if they want to stop all communications. However, we also want unsubscribes to provide valuable information to the business. So, this time let’s take a look at unsubscribe links in emails: what to say and where to place them?

The History of GDPR and Other Privacy Rules in Email Marketing

One of the essential rules of email marketing is that a person must?always have the option?to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Ensure that the?newsletter unsubscribe link?is visible and easy to find in the?footer?of your emails. If a customer contacts your company expressing a desire to delete their data, you must ensure the possibility of deleting all data related to them from your database. This data is the customer’s name, email address, and other information stored in connection with his account. More you can find here

Let your email recipients unsubscribe

We won’t talk here about the legal requirements of having an unsubscribe link in an email – your email recipients have to have a way to opt-out from your marketing emails. However, please don’t hide your unsubscribe link – make it visible. Always remember, it is much better to get an unsubscribe than be marked as spam.
