Once upon a time, there was a young female larva who greatly admired the handsome marigold flower. Every day, it stood fresh and vibrant, and she would gaze upon it with a smile, saying, "One day, I will fly to this marigold and talk to him."
After a few days, the young larva's admiration turned into love. Whenever it rained, she would watch the marigold with worry, afraid that his stem might break. On those rainy nights, the young larva couldn't sleep and prayed to God for the safety of her beloved marigold.
When the sun rose, the young larva would eagerly rise and search for her beloved marigold. Upon finding him unharmed, she would smile and whisper a small prayer of thanks to God. After realizing how much she loved the Marigold, she decided to talk to him. "Hey Marigold, how's your day?" The marigold looked at her but didn't respond.
The young larva smiled because even though the Marigold didn't respond, at least he knew that there was a young larva who wanted to be friends with him. Each morning, the young larva greeted the Marigold, but as usual, he didn't respond. However, one day, the Marigold spoke to the young larva.
"Why do you always bother me? You should know your boundaries," the Marigold said.
The young larva was shocked because finally, the Marigold spoke, but he made it clear that he didn't like the larva.

"I love you, Marigold, and I want to become your friend," the young larva replied.
The Marigold responded, "You're young, and maybe tomorrow you will become a butterfly and leave me because you can now fly and find more attractive flowers. As you see, my season will end soon."
"Marigold, you're wrong, there is one thing you need to know. There are many flowers here in the garden, but there is only one flower that I love, and that is you," the young larva exclaimed.
The marigold shook his head. "You're young and inexperienced to love me. I have been here in the garden for a long time, and I have seen all types of love. One day, you will leave me for a more beautiful flower to satisfy your needs."
The young larva's heart became broken due to the disagreement with the marigold, and they did not talk for a long time. Eventually, the time came for the larva to go into the cocoon. She looked one more time at the marigold, which was now old, and knew that his season would soon end. She realized that if she woke up and became a butterfly, she would not see the marigold anymore.
-????? As a writer, this kind of story is an example of a story where the writer wants to end the story based on how the reader wants it to end. So, if you are the reader, what would be the ending of these two?

10 个月Nice illustration! Marigold, whenever you are! The spring season has ended. Your glorious petals have fallen off. Be humble and let the larvae sip the remaining nourishment from your buds. Share it with the poor larvae that beg for a little fragrance that you barely produce. Hehehe.
