The Unseen Treasure

Long ago, I’ve kept considering this and I hope you do so too. And I ask, is it advisable to head-on with something, even when it seems that there’s no forthcoming hope? I couldn’t answer until I was privileged to witness this.
There is a woman I see every day while going to work. I have rarely seen anyone in her saloon before, and I wondered if she was ever going to have enough money for the day, at least to feed. At some point, I wished she could think up something else she could do to give her a better income. But one interesting thing I realized was that she wasn’t just sitting idle in her saloon. As empty and lonely as her saloon seemed to be, she was always busy making dummy hair in the form of wigs. She would give all her attention to making the wigs and her hands were always busy each time I pass and saw several skillfully braided wigs modeled in front of her saloon waiting for potential customers. Sadly enough some of these wigs have been there for weeks, and I wondered what the problem could be.?
There is a company in town that was established by Asian entrepreneurs. They sought ways to promote the collaboration of the African and Asian Cultures, thus the company name is “De Asiafric Styles”. The giggles about this company have been on the air for months and the Government has been on its toes to ensure that this new development comes to stay because it will promote tourism and the economy of the State as there will be foreigners who would love to harness this opportunity in the State.?
One faithful day, as I went out, I saw some persons packing out various items out of the saloon. I thought to myself, maybe she has decided to go into another profitable business and as well rent the shop out to someone else. But to my greatest surprise, I learned that she got a contract work in ‘De Asiafric styles’ whose main interest is to promote Asian and African beauty. She was recommended by a passerby who was also a new staff in that same company. The company's management conducted an interview and she was chosen amongst others who attended the same interview.?She was chosen because she was skillful, consistent, and very fast in making the sample wigs that were given to her as a test interview.?
She shared her excitement during a press interview saying “I never knew that the years of my unrecognized effort would bring me forth to an extent where I could be globally recognized as the African branch hair coordinator of De Asiafric styles. Indeed this opportunity has lifted my standard of life and I give God all the glory for allowing me to be more innovative and creative with those wigs I made in my saloon which has now ushered me into a new level of career development”.
I smiled as I realized that most times we do not waste our time doing a particular duty/work. This should encourage us to work hard at every point in life even if there seems unnecessary or uninteresting at the moment. Directly or indirectly we train ourselves to be dedicated, articulated, and independent.?
