Unready.

Unready.

When I took on my first real mentor (Mr Bob Proctor), I wasn’t really ready financially for the commitment it took.

When my first client joined my business all those years ago, I wasn’t really fully ready yet.

When I first went ‘live’ on social media, I was certainly not ready, such was my concern that everyone who had ever known me would ‘pause’ and criticise how I looked.

When I went for my first official photo shoot, I realised I had no idea how much work it would be - had I known, I definitely wouldn’t have felt ready.

Even when I gave birth to my first child, I definitely wasn’t ready for how much that hurt.

And when the midwife handed her to me and told me to carry her whilst they wheeled me down to postnatal, I realised that NCT had never taught us how to actually hold a newborn and I didn’t feel ready.

But despite being ‘unready’ for all of these things, they were the making of me.

It’s like being pushed into a swimming pool when you can’t swim - somehow you find the way to do it.

You see, doing things before you’re ready helps you jump up several rungs on the ladder instead of going one small cautious step at a time with the other foot firmly on the ground.

I am where I am today with a life of choice, freedom and a global business BECAUSE I did things before I was ready.

This isn’t about ‘Yey - me! Go me!’’. No - it’s just my usual no-nonsense, albeit nurturing attitude to success.

Everyone wants a life of freedom and financial safety. But they want it with one leg on the shore, firmly where they’re comfortable, just in case they need to jump back off the ship.

It doesn’t work like that my friend

I once read that if your first website was brilliant, you launched your business way too late.

It’s the same with everything else - do it before you’re ready and the action will rocket you forward.

Which takes me back to where this article started - my dear old mentor Bob Proctor. Bob once said ‘JUMP! You’ll develop wings along the way’

And he was so, so very right.

Thank you Bob.?

And thank you Guinevere - myself - for being brave enough to follow your intuition and doing everything your gut told you… way before you were ready.

Guinevere.
