Unravelling complexity using hypnotherapy

I don't know if you're aware but hypnotherapy is one of the most versatile psychotherapies there is and can help with a very wide spectrum of issues ????
Any issue with a psychological or behavioural component can be tackled. This includes many medical conditions, e.g., where pain, stress, anxiety, etc need to be managed.
Sometimes medical conditions can be alleviated through complex chains of psychological, behavioural and physiological changes.
Not all of them are understood but one example would be clearing stomach ulcers by reducing stomach acid and reducing hypertension or skin conditions through hypnotic suggestions for stress management.
If someone presents to us with stress, we can help alleviate the symptoms of stress quite readily, but this will typically lead to symptom displacement or substitutions i.e. if we fail to identify the causes of stress the behaviours will just pop up somewhere else!
An example would be, let's say someone is smoking because they are not coping well in their job. The reason they're not coping well in their job is that they don't feel competent to do their job due to poor training.
However, poor training and not feeling competent are compounded by the fact they have never felt able to be assertive with those in authority i.e., their boss. So, they are struggling to ask for help. The chain could go on and we might trace it back further to where the lack of assertiveness came from or beyond depending on the individual and until we're managing the problem at the source and where appropriate.
If we simply help them to stop smoking, and we haven’t addressed the problems at work and issues with not being able to ask for help assertively, it’s highly likely they will relapse back to smoking, or turn to other vices for comfort such as over/comfort eating, drink, drugs, sex, porn, gambling or some other form of escape valve to help them cope.
So, with hypnotherapy looking back through the chain of events for someone who is e.g., stressed is very important for sustainable healthy changes.
