Unraveling the Future of SEO and Cutting-Edge Insights: SERP Conf. 2023 Recap

Nearly 450 visitors from 25 countries gathered as my team, and I called it (you can say in comments if we have a point): “One of the most anticipated international SEO conferences”.?

Guests and speakers from 3 continents were greeted with drums, bagpipes and intense emotion. In the recharging atmosphere of the Inter Expo Center, SERP Conf. 2023 became an international nexus for the sharpest minds in SEO and digital marketing. With a distinguished lineup of speakers and topics ranging from AI to E-commerce & SEO, SERP Conf. 2023 was nothing short of a groundbreaking experience.

On the one hand with its five panels, SERP Conf. 2023 provided a structured approach to the speakers' presentations. On the other hand - they shared examples and solutions from their professional path that the audience could immediately apply in everyday workflow.


Technical SEO and the love for crawling

The conference was also a playground for Technical SEO enthusiasts. Peter Nikolow , CEO of Mobilio, shared his experiences with "Catch-22: Series of Unfortunate SEO Case Studies - How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Crawling." He brought a sense of humor to the complexities of technical SEO. Maria Georgieva , SEO Team Manager at Payhawk, joined in with her topic, "Website Migrations & Automations," shedding light on the challenges and solutions for seamless migrations. Both discussions were filled with practical takeaways.

E-commerce & SEO and a masterclass in traffic boosting

Panel 2 was a deep dive into E-commerce SEO, with Evgeni Yordanov, M.Eng. , CEO of NEXT BASKET, leading the way as the moderator.?

Begum Kaya , founder and SEO Consultant at BK Solutions, shared her wisdom on achieving an impressive 70% surge in organic traffic for a beauty brand in the Turkish market. Her real-world experience illuminated the what the path to such substantial growth may look like. Natalia Witczyk , International SEO Consultant and CEO at Mosquita.Digital, provided tangible examples of seven pivotal SEO lessons she learned while working on the largest custom-built site in Barcelona. Her insights showcased the real-world applications of SEO strategies and the feedback from the audience (that we gathered afterward) was very good.?

Special guest: Patrycja Sass-Staniszewska and a glimpse into e-commerce excellence

Patrycja Sass-Staniszewska , the President of Poland's Chamber of Digital Economy, delivered invaluable insights for online shoppers in Poland and Bulgaria. She put a spotlights on:

  • Dominant Market Goods: A look into the goods that reign supreme in these markets.
  • Mobile Site/App Preference: The prevalent preference for mobile sites/apps, an essential consideration for digital businesses.
  • Social Media Vitality: The importance of a robust social media presence in modern e-commerce.

In her presentation Patrycja emphasized the critical strategies for success in the dynamic e-commerce sphere.

AI & SEO: Quantity and Quality Unveiled

In the third panel, Dimitar Dimitrov , CEO of inbound.bg, moderated a conversation that mirrored the fusion of AI with SEO. The two speakers stole the show at the conference, delivering the presentations that sparked a lot of debates among participants. Kalin Karakehayov , Founder of Edoms.com, Seo.Domains and I.GY, highlighted the importance of prioritizing quantity over quality, focusing on the immense value of producing a high volume of evergreen content. He underlined how AI's nature aligns with a quantitative approach, promising manifold benefits.

Koray Tu?berk GüBüR , CEO of Holistic SEO & Digital, and Creator of Topical Authority, in his presentation, brought out the significance of working with AI-generated content. He emphasized the art of asking the right questions in fine-tuning, domain-specific fine-tuning, and prompt-based fine-tuning. An exciting takeaway was Koray's unique perspective on transforming negative business reviews into positive ones, showcasing the art of turning setbacks into success.

Python & SEO and a Tech Sorcery symposium

In our fourth panel, attendees witnessed the presentation by the Head of SEO at Serpact Dido Grigorov which was focused on preparation, data science, and data extraction. Python's automation sets SEO specialists free to wield their knowledge and professional experience more efficiently.

Additionally, Olesia Korobka , CEO, SEO Consultant, Head of SEO at Fajela, explored best-linking practices, emphasizing the importance of relevancy and site structure. She provided valuable tips for using anchor texts, such as avoiding generic terms, maintaining adequate spacing between anchors, providing context, and ensuring unique anchor texts for different content.

Evolution of SEO: Insights from the Final Panel

The conference's last panel, featuring SEO stalwarts like Craig Campbell , SEO Trainer & Consultant at Craig Campbell SEO, and Hristina (Tina) Mangelova , Head of SEO & Content Marketing at Growth Skills, delved into SEO's future. Five paramount questions set the tone for engaging discussions:

  1. Future-Proofing Websites: The panelists contemplated the strategies to ensure websites remain resilient in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
  2. Content Marketing in SEO: The role of content marketing in SEO's future was explored, emphasizing its potential as an SEO catalyst.
  3. SEO in Curriculum: An intriguing question revolved around whether SEO should be integrated into computer science curricula, nurturing the next generation of digital marketers.
  4. Linkless SEO Success: Discussions unfurled on SEO success strategies that don't rely heavily on traditional links.
  5. AI's Impact: The potential impact of AI on the SEO workforce was analyzed, including the opportunities and challenges it brings.

The panel concluded by exploring SEO's evolution's vast, uncharted territories. What was clear from this session was the exhilarating pace at which the industry is progressing.

Organizer for the third consecutive year of SERP Conf. 2023 is a Serpact SEO agency. The conference is supported by the industrial branch partners: Ecommerce Europe , BEA - Bulgarian E-commerce Association and others.?

The event hosts were Georgi Nenov , creator and host of the "Superman with Georgi Nenov" podcast, and Judith Lewis , founder of DeCabbit Consultancy and international speaker, writer, and presenter. And in the separate panels, a Q&A session was set aside to answer the audience's questions. The participants kept setting the direction of the discussions with current and relevant questions.
