The Dangerous Culture of Not Questioning Establishment Organizational Leaderships
It is extraordinary that in spite of all the protestations of caring and concern for people's safety on the part of Establishment organizations, their leaderships have created cultures of mindless unthinking, unquestioning acceptance of even the most dangerously stupid of policy edicts.
AirBnB issued an edict some 2 weeks ago that hosts had to remove all security cameras from inside their homes by 30 April, 2024.
Security cameras in common areas are an essential element of the security infrastructure in every hotel, motel and accommodation house all over the world.
They protect guests, hosts, staff and the property of all.
It is inconceivable AirBnB would even contemplate such a policy would, but that it would be created, documented, ratified, and distributed to all AirBnB hosts in the USA, apparently without any appreciation of its implications, or wide ranging, extraordinarily dangerous consequences.
For the last 2 weeks I've been endeavoring to communicate with AirBnB through every communication avenue available to establish whether the email distributing the new policy edict was a scam, or officially authorized.
Because of the almost impenetrable barriers Establishment organizations have now created to prevent access to any participant in decision making, and the newly entrenched culture of mindless unthinking, unquestioning acceptance within the organizations, my emails, app text messages and social media postings went unanswered until this morning when we received a phone call from AirBnB's off shore call center, initially reinforcing the stated policy, then qualifying, that it applied to guests bedrooms and private areas - a totally different message from the Head Office email.
The robotically trained call center employee advised I needed to state in our listing's 'safety' area that our security cameras are located only in common areas - we state it far more prominently in the 4th sentence of our property listing on AirBnB.
It seems Corporate and Government Establishment Organizations are now so in the grip of meeting and manuals developing and implementing woke virtue-signaling policies on all matters of social justice, DEI and human rights, to disguise, what in fact is, their total contempt for customer service and human dignity.
There is no other apparent explanation for how the distribution of such a new, deeply flawed policy could be developed and implemented to the extent of total organization-wide acceptance, without meaningful consideration, questioning and challenging.

To emphasize the abusive and arrogant nature of the Corporate and Government Establishment Organizational Culture of today, I suggest it is highly unlikely this monumental 'screw up' in AirBnB will be corrected, and that their will be no email retraction, let alone apology to all AirBnB hosts for what was a threatened withdrawal of their rights as property owners.
How is this happening on such a grand scale across Western societies that once, not only valued our freedoms and liberty, but fought and died for it?
The answer is to be found in analyzing and accurately understanding the impact on the community of the terrifying fear our Governments continuously generated, and the way they then disgracefully manipulated the people into accepting previously unimagined abuse of power at great cost to the mental and financial health of the community.
We have arrived at a position where the great majority of the population are afraid to think for themselves, let alone question and challenge edicts from the Establishment leadership, irrespective of how illogical they may be.
