Hate to get all Churchillian on everyone, but looks like we are headed for some turbulent times ahead and no industrial sector is immune. Folks are having to make new arrangements that impact all parts of their lives, not least their working lives. Historically Pharma/Life Sciences have been somewhat sheltered from economic cycles but this is different.

The industry relies on data from clinical studies to attract the significant levels of investment needed to translate amazing science into ground breaking new medicines. A vaccine for Covid-19 is already off the starting blocks and Biotech is playing its part. Any disruption to that data flow in terms of monitors visiting sites, subjects having to withdraw from studies because of self isolation or results being skewed by Covid-19 are going to impact what is an already shell shocked investor community.

Morgan Prestwich are working on projects right now, to connect great people to great science and that activity is becoming mission critical, like never before as companies scale their operations.

Clearly these are unchartered waters, but we are going to play our part in ensuring, so far as possible and within all the Governmental guidance, we maintain the smooth running of our business for the benefit of our clients and partners. With all operations hosted in the cloud (including telephony), we have flipped to home working without missing a beat (albeit the regular team Zoom VCs necessitates we look respectable - on the top half at least!).

To steal one more quote from the great man, 'It is a mistake to look too far ahead. Only one link in the chain of destiny can be handled at time'.

Lets get ourselves and our families through Covid-19 first and then worry about what comes next.
