Life is not simple, but it isn’t complicated too. Complications are something that we have brought in with a fast-paced and un-mindful life. The hustle and bustle we find ourselves engaged with on a daily basis does not allow us time to pause and introspect. This is further exacerbated by the modern world where speed is a need, with high-speed technology and a competitive society.
While we have evolved and improved in many ways, the modern world also contributed to many elements like health issues due to a sedentary lifestyle, fast-paced life that often does not allow us to breathe and enjoy simple pleasures, unhealthy competition and pressures, following herd mentality, and more.
Unknowingly, we have joined the masses and become one hivemind but when you ask every individual whether they are happy, they often answer “NO”.
As we continue at this pace, we often miss to unplug from all of it and question ourselves: “Is this the direction I want to head to?”
So, right now, for those of us reading this article, we invite you to unplug with us and ponder about the following questions:
After you answer these questions, assess your actions to see whether they are aligned with your goals or are they headed in a different direction.
If you find it a struggle to unplug from the hubbub of life, you can try out some of the below ways:
Mindfulness: - Try to engage in any mindfulness exercise that allows you to just focus on a single task in the moment.

The idea is to enhance the ability to connect with yourself with a calm and clear mind. By engaging in mindfulness, it can enable to you ask yourself more questions and align with your goal.
Disconnect to connect: - No gadget hour/day.
Think about your changes: - List three changes, big or small, that you have noticed in yourself in the last month/quarter and explore how these changes make you feel and whether it is good or bad.
Keep learning: - Spend 10-15 minutes a week learning about a subject of your interest. In some cases, the growth or process may be slow but as long it is not completely stopped, it is a good step forward.
?In a world that moves rapidly, it is sometimes important to step aside to take a moment and unplug yourself.
