Do you find yourself feeling a little bit drained sometimes from all the negative that goes on around you?
Do you wish you could just devoid yourself of all that negative and focus on what it is that you want to achieve?
Hi, this is Grant Herbert, International Influencer and Sustainable Performance Coach, and today, I want to continue this building a foundation for January, so that we can have a greater success in 2020 by talking about Unplugging from Negative.
For those of you who’ve been following the journey since the start of the year, you know that I would have talked about three things that we need to do. We need to unpack our bags and we talked about that last week.
So, if you haven’t watched that one yet, it’d be great to go back and to watch or listen to that one as well so that we can then move forward. Next week, we’re going to talk about unlearn. But, I talked about the fact that we had an issue with our power in our home last year, and what was going on was the circuit breaker kept tripping. So, the positive flow of electricity that allowed me to do what I wanted to do wasn’t happening. And when I went out to the circuit breaker box and I pushed the button back up, it just tripped again, and every single time I tried to reset, it tripped.
So, I did a little bit of Google searching, as we do, and I found out that what you need to do, so that you can isolate what appliance it is that’s creating the problem.
And that is to totally unplug it from the socket.
Because when it’s still connected in the socket, there’s a residual power, a residual energy, a residual connection to the source.
Once I unplugged everything in the house and then went and tripped the circuit breaker back to its original position, it stayed on and I got the electricity out and it had burned out by that stage and we had to get it all fixed.
But, at the end of the day, it was about isolating what was it that was causing the problem. And that’s what I want to have a little bit of a chat with you about today.
So, when we think about unplugging, what most people think about is, “Oh, unplugged from my social media”, and that could be a good thing, but I think there’s a lot more to it than that.
What we’re talking about is unplugging from anything that’s creating negative energy and throwing negative into our environment that then stops us from being who we need to be to move forward and do what we want to do and what we need to do in 2020.
