It’s been two years since Australia, the UK and US joined together to announce the signing of the AUKUS agreement, which at its core is a strong defence and security accord.
Yet, its influence spans far beyond defence, opening up new transformative avenues for industry collaboration and technological advancement on an international scale.
A new world of opportunities
The unification that comes from the agreement and the commitment to Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 by three of the globe’s most progressive economies, lays the groundwork for unparalleled industry collaboration and new opportunities for innovators, manufacturers, academics and entrepreneurs.
This coalition harnesses the combined expertise and innovative spirit of its member nations, providing a fertile ground for industries to co-develop cutting-edge solutions, penetrate new markets, and foster a shared knowledge ecosystem.
From discussions with thought leaders, technology trailblazers, and business leaders from across the country, it is clear there are significant economic and technological benefits stemming from AUKUS.
These discussions have further emphasised that the essence of AUKUS lies not just in security but in sparking a technological renaissance.
Through increased collaboration under the AUKUS umbrella, industries are poised to achieve a distinctive advantage both here in Australia and internationally.

1 年One of the reasons for AUKUS. "United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) is one of six geographic combatant commands defined by the Department of Defense's Unified Command Plan (UCP). As a geographic combatant command, USINDOPACOM is in charge of using and integrating United States Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps forces within the USINDOPACOM area of responsibility (AOR) to achieve U.S. national security objectives while protecting national interests. The USINDOPACOM AOR covers more of the globe of any of the other geographic combatant commands and shares borders with all of the other five geographic combatant commands".
