Meet Mr. Awantilal P. Chavla. The person who holds Limca Books of Record and for the largest collection of TURBANS (PAGHADI). May be he is eligible for Guinness Book of World Record if someone helps him. He has turban collections from entire India. He has spent relentless 30 years for only one thing in his life (Turban). Every year in Ganesh Festival he prepares Turban for lord Ganesh Idol in Vadodara. This Ganesh Idol is popularly known as Paghadiwala Ganpati in Vadodara. Most of the Barodians know this Ganesh Idol but seldom know the man behind this hard work. I had a privilege to meet him today at Hastkala Pradarshan (an Exhibition of art).
He has not only collected and created Turbans, he has done lot of research on turbans.
