Unpacking Strategies of Top Junk Removal Brands

??1800-GOT-JUNK? targets high-end markets.?

??College Hunks targets medium markets.?

??Junk King targets low-end markets.?

The “Big Blue” focuses on customers willing to pay more for premium service (high-end markets)?

The “Big Orange” aims at those looking for a balance between quality and affordability (medium markets)?

and The “Big Red” targets customers seeking the most economical options (low-end markets)?

Think about that for a second…This is what I think:It’s not coincidence that 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has probably the highest price entry level in every market they operate.

And it’s not coincidence that (most of the time) Junk King has the lowest entry price level in each market they brand their services.

Did I say throughout entire price list they are the most expensive or cheapest?

Not, it’s all on the entry level, that’s how they define the target they want.When the “big dogs” increase their prices they rarely increase it on the entry level point (aka: single item removal).

The reason?

They understand the power of data, the power of keep in track with their AVJ (average job size)…If they want to increase their prices, they do it around the AVJ

Isn’t that smart?

Of course…Because when you have a solid AVJ, it means that in average every-time you get in front of a client and get paid the average ticket price or AOV (average order value) however you want to call it… will hit right there…So why not increasing the chances by meeting your clients (local market) where they are at?

In short: there’s a market for everyone.Don’t get me wrong…. Being part of “the elite group of people that are the cheapest in town” WILL take you far in this business (sarcasm)…None of them are the cheapest ones in town.. everything is a planned strategy from the get go on those big brands.

One thing I believe: People want things only a select few have access to…That’s why 1-800-GOT-JUNK? (as a premium junk removal brand / proven model) has its spot in a selective market.That’s probably why they do 7 figures systemwide in daily revenue.

Of course we all need to learn something from them!
