Unpacking creativity

Unpacking creativity

As an avid organizer, I frequently do different kinds of deep-cleaning. My closet, books, anything not used or not in good shape can be donated, or reinvented. Whether surprisingly or not, my LinkedIn profile was my most recent target, and I ended up coming across this article, from more than 5 years ago.

First of all, I experienced shame, by realizing I haven't been writing for all this time. After a couple of seconds reflecting on it, I gave myself some grace for kicking off my career in a different country (and language!), surviving a global pandemic, having a child, and so much more that happened during these past years. But then, I was shocked by the fact that I probably wouldn't change much of what I wrote in that article. Better than that, I decided to dive into the topic of creativity, still my favorite ever.?

While there's a lot of content out there discussing creativity as the secret sauce for originality and innovation, I firmly believe that the true magic lies in differentiation and problem-solving, concepts from which everyone can benefit the most. In upcoming articles, I'll be approaching three topics deeply connected to creativity:

  • Inspiration and research
  • Learning (and failing!)
  • Diversity, focusing on creative perspectives, and your unique creative style?

My goal with these articles is simply to make you rethink some stereotypes on creativity, while also provoking your own creative genius. Are you ready for it?
