The Unorthodox Way From A To B

The Unorthodox Way From A To B

If you had asked me even just a few years ago that there would be a way that I could get out of the Corporate World and be in charge of my own destiny I would have told you that "you were crazy".

I still remember rolling out IT Systems for Large Banks, Private Companies & Government Departments, getting caught up with maddeningly tight timeframes set by "Management" and being caught on the roller coaster of politics and the 9-5 desk grind.

It felt nearly impossible to get out of that environment and pursue something that I was passionate about.

One of my friends in the Corporate world was on his honeymoon, and the company he worked for was "restructured" whilst he was away. With just 4 positions and 5 guys, someone had to go... And you guessed it, he was out of the country so naturally it was him.

When he shared this with me - I saw the anger of fire in his eyes, the pain of being slighted after over a decade of loyalty, the disappointment of a future he had imagined. It really hurt.

I vowed to myself "never again would I let myself, or my family's future, lay in the hands of someone else".

This fire has served me well, keeping me moving towards my ultimate goal of helping as many people as possible get control of their financial future's and pursue their passions more freely.

Guys, it has taken me nearly 12 years to work all this out. I have made so many mistakes over the years, I have gone down so many rabbit holes, I have tried so many things. I have failed over and over again.

But the biggest mistake I made was staying exactly where I was because I was comfortable. Because I knew how to do those tasks & roles in my sleep. Because I got paid well to do it.

And the price I paid was with my time & my soul.

Today, my encouragement to you is to plan out a path that is going to get you from where you are now to where you want to be. It might be a straight forward very logical road or you may need to pave out a more unorthodox way to get there consisting of row boats, paddles, crossing great seas, coming up with new equipment and flying at great heights.

A very wise Friend & Coach of mine told me "sometimes you need to burn all your bridges" so that you keep going towards the place of your dreams and goals.

It is possible my friends.
