Unmasking Clients' Fears – #1: Paying for Something that Won't Bring Results

We're excited to launch our new newsletter series to tackle some of the common questions and concerns our clients face when it comes to working with IT recruitment agencies. We hope we've told you enough about our job in the previous newsletters since we aim to be absolutely transparent. However, it’s high time we addressed those fears. Today, we discuss fear number 1 – ’’I'm worried about paying for something that won't bring results."

It’s quite a reasonable concern. Choosing a service can feel trickier than buying something tangible, like a pair of shoes. With shoes, you see them right away and feel the immediate 'result' of your spending. Trends and styles can help you make a decision, too.?

However, when it comes to a service, it’s a whole different thing. We’ve shared some tips on how to choose an IT recruitment agency. Services rely on trust: you request a service and hope the results will meet your expectations. While it might be true about some services, IT recruitment is different. There is a certain standard when it comes to discussing terms of collaboration with IT recruitment agencies:?

  1. Most of them (including us) don’t request a prepayment?
  2. There’s a guaranteed replacement if a candidate doesn’t pass the probationary period.?

It means that you don’t risk anything.?

  1. We get acquainted, discuss the position and requirements
  2. We begin our search?
  3. We interview candidates and perform technical pre-screenings
  4. We send the first relevant candidates?
  5. You interview and pick the ones you like the most?
  6. We assist with offer presentation and negotiation
  7. The candidate accepts the offer?
  8. We send you an invoice for our services on the candidate's first day of work.

If the candidate doesn’t accept the offer, we continue our search until we find the right fit.?

It’s as simple as that.?

The IT job market puts all the risk on IT recruiters. A company can stop searching for candidates anytime, and the contract won't penalise them for it. And if a hired candidate doesn't make it through probation, IT recruiting agencies will find a replacement for free.?
