Unlocking Your Zone of Genius: Challenging Your Limiting Beliefs

Unlocking Your Zone of Genius: Challenging Your Limiting Beliefs

First, let’s see if you're living with a limited mindset.?

You get invited to attend a think tank luncheon at a friend's house to participate in a discussion on solving the humanitarian crisis in Uganda, brought on by the passing of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2023, which makes the death penalty the sentence for being gay.?

Which of the following is an answer based on a limiting belief?

  1. WOW-We! This sounds awesome, count me in.
  2. Thank you, I can't make it. I still work a 9-5 job and can’t attend events during the work day.?
  3. Thank you for asking, I am not able to join this right now.
  4. Thank you for thinking about me, I have a 9-5 job and am not typically able to attend events. This is important; let me find a way to adjust my schedule so I can attend.

Which answer do you think is based on a limiting belief?

You’ll find the answer at the end of the article.?

Are you feeling stuck and frustrated, living the same old story day after day? Do you find yourself making up stories about why you can't do something, even when deep down you know they're not true? If so, you may be caught in the trap of limiting beliefs.

Limiting beliefs are thoughts or beliefs that hold us back from achieving our full potential. They are often based on past experiences, societal conditioning, or our own fears and insecurities. These beliefs can become so ingrained in our minds that we don't even realize we're holding onto them.

As Christians, we often use the word "repent" to mean feeling sorry for our mistakes and asking for forgiveness. But the word "repent" comes from the Greek word "metanoia," which means to go beyond the mind. In other words, Jesus was teaching us to transcend our limited thinking and tap into a higher power that exists beyond our own egoic operating system.

This higher power can be thought of as the mind of the Universe, which some refer to as the quantum field. Jesus called this the Kingdom of Heaven, and it's a place where anything is possible. When we tap into this higher power, we can access our Zone of Genius and live our lives to the fullest.

However, our limiting beliefs can hold us back from accessing this higher power. For example, you may believe that you're not smart enough to pursue a certain career or that you're not worthy of love and acceptance. These beliefs can become self-fulfilling prophecies, as we unconsciously create situations in our lives that confirm our beliefs.

The good news is that we can overcome our limiting beliefs by becoming aware of them and challenging them. This requires us to question whether our beliefs are true or simply stories that we're telling ourselves. We can also try reframing our thoughts in a more positive way, such as replacing "I can't" with "I can figure it out" or “I can’t afford it.” with "How can I afford it?" and "I don't have time" with "I am the Universe, with all the time of the Universe, I got your back, let’s do this.”

So if you're feeling stuck and frustrated, ask yourself: are you caught in a story that's not true? What if the only thing standing between you and living your best life is the limiting beliefs that you're holding onto? With practice and perseverance, you can transcend your limited thinking and become the best version of yourself.

Imagine what you would become if you let go of your fear-driven limiting beliefs and began to create your future from your creative, aware mind of the Universe with feelings of love and gratitude.?

According to the law of attraction, what you think is what you create, what you? feel is what you attract, and what you imagine is what you become. So imagine the possibilities of living your life with unlimited potential and abundance, and start taking action towards making that a reality.

Answer to the question:?

The answer that is based on a limiting belief is answer number 2: "Thank you for thinking of me, I can't make it. I still work a 9-5 job and am not able to go to events during the workday."?

This answer suggests that the person is limiting themselves from attending the event based on the belief that they are not able to attend events during the workday because of their 9-5 job.?

This belief may not necessarily be true as there could be ways to adjust their schedule or make arrangements to attend the event.?

This answer is an example of a limiting belief because it is a self-imposed limitation based on a story or belief that may not necessarily be true.
