Hey friends,
What if I told you that you are an expert right here, right now? Most of you would probably shake your heads in disbelief and respond with a resounding "NO." But the truth is, each and every one of us possesses expertise in various areas of our lives. The real question is, expert at what?
When we hear the word "expert," we often associate it with formal qualifications, years of specialized training, or recognition from esteemed institutions. While those achievements certainly hold value, they don't define the entirety of our expertise. We often overlook the knowledge and skills we've acquired through our everyday activities, hobbies, and personal experiences.
Transferring this knowledge and expertise from our daily lives into things that matter can be a game-changer. It allows us to tap into our "FULL potential" and contribute meaningfully to our personal and professional spheres. However, there are two common obstacles that hold many of us back: fear and imposter syndrome.
Fear can manifest in various forms, such as the fear of failure, the fear of judgment, or the fear of stepping outside our comfort zones. It can create self-doubt and prevent us from embracing our expertise. But what if we reframed fear as a sign that we're on the cusp of growth? By acknowledging our fears and pushing through them, we can unlock opportunities we never thought possible.
Imposter syndrome, on the other hand, is that nagging feeling of being a fraud despite evidence of our competence. It makes us question our abilities and diminishes our confidence. However, it's important to remember that imposter syndrome is a common phenomenon experienced by even the most accomplished individuals - even for world acclaimed poet and writer Maya Angelou “I have written 11 books, but each time I think, ‘uh oh, they’re going to find out now. I’ve run a game on everybody, and they’re going to find me out.” We have to recognize imposter syndrome as a natural part of the growth process that allows us to separate our self-worth from our achievements and move forward with confidence.

Before we zoom off... I'd like to incorporate a call to action so we can move from information to action. Grab your journal and pen or copy this into your into your notes on your phone and say it at least 21 times over the next 1 week. "Today I take a vow to keep promises, to go for progress not perfection, to strive for excellence, and to make the world around me a better place".
I am wishing you courage, confidence, and a fulfilling journey towards unleashing your expertise!
That is all from me this week. Until next time. Ciao!
