What's up fam??????
My name is Muhammad Arif Ramadhani, and I want to share my experience about the 5 ways of adaptability after participating in the Bangkit led by Google, Goto, and Traveloka . I joined the Bangkit led by Google, Goto, and Traveloka towards the end of my semester, while working on my thesis and also teaching as a teaching assistant. At first, I felt overwhelmed with the busy schedule of my classes and activities at Bangkit Academy. However, over time, I was able to adapt by managing my time more effectively and studying harder, allowing me to grow and develop beyond my previous self. Here are the 5 ways that I used to enhance your adaptability skills.
1. Ways of Interacting
In the Bangkit 2023 program, I had the opportunity to interact with various cohorts and mentors from diverse backgrounds. With the age and academic background differences, I had to adapt to them. In all Bangkit Academy activities, English is used, which resulted in an improvement in my English speaking skills, including proper pronunciation. By adapting, I was able to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively in team projects.
2. Ways of Achieving
I have high goals and expectations for the new course performance and capstone project results. With new materials and tight deadlines, I had to adapt and have a growth mindset, be open to criticism from mentors or cohorts, and have a willingness to learn from mistakes so that I can achieve my goals.

3. Ways of Learning
In Bangkit 2023, the learning approach is designed independently, where cohorts are responsible for their own learning process. However, Bangkit provides several facilities such as mentors. In Bangkit, I also learned new technologies, so I had to adapt by asking questions to mentors or joining a personal community. I could also learn new things by participating in projects such as completing the capstone project at the end of the program and achieving an A grade.
4. Ways of Working
In the Bangkit Academy program, everything is conducted online and through self-learning. Here, I had to create a comfortable working space, manage my working hours, and usually use working tools such as Google Calendar, Google Keep, and Notion. At the end of the Bangkit 2023 program, the capstone project was held, which strongly emphasized teamwork and collaboration. Working in a team project required me to adapt to company culture and be flexible because each team member has unique strengths and weaknesses. To become an effective team member, I had to learn to communicate effectively, actively listen, and respect different perspectives.
5. Ways of Thinking
After participating in and learning from the ILT-SS session of the Bangkit 2023 program, I was challenged to think critically and creatively about complex problems. Through this program, I developed a problem-solving mindset, where I could break down problems into manageable parts and develop solutions through repeated testing and experimentation. I also learned to embrace a growth mindset, where I view failures as opportunities to learn and grow.
In conclusion, my journey in the Bangkit 2023 program has been an enriching and beneficial experience. By applying the 5 Ways to Adapt, I was able to develop my interpersonal, academic, and professional skills. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program and look forward to continuing to grow and learn in order to achieve my goal of becoming a cloud engineer.
