The International Standards Organisation (ISO) are committed to developing a standard Big Data Reference Architecture (BDRA) that is vendor-neutral, technology-and infrastructure-agnostic to enable any ecosystem partners and consumers to perform big data analytics without worrying about the underlying computing environment. In this talk I will outline the process for drafting and publishing the International Standard, its genesis, the stakeholders involved, progress achieved to date, future work and timeline to publishing the Big Data Reference Architecture Standards and Technical Reports.
