But what exactly is the RACI matrix? The acronym "RACI" stands for Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed. These four attributes serve as the connections that tie the roles to their assigned activities.
The "Responsible" person is directly in charge of performing a task and ensuring that the expected result is achieved.
The "Accountable" role, on the other hand, does not personally perform the task, but is responsible for ensuring that the result meets quality requirements and necessary resources are provided.

Let's assume there is an onboarding process for new employees. Each person involved in the process is assigned a RACI role within each task. For the task " develop an onboarding plan", the role assignments could look like this:
Responsible (R): HR department
Accountable (A): Team leader
Consulted (C): IT support & new employee
Informed (I): Head of department
