What’s the difference between tailored and customized engagements with your customers?
?? Tailored means modifying something that already exists. When it comes to technology, you tailor the user interface, like changing a field name.
?? Customizations, on the other hand, are creating something from scratch to meet specific needs and requirements. You create templates, you modify the code, and you transform customer data.
Why it Matters
I recommend keeping customizations to a minimum because they are time-consuming and expensive to create and maintain. Things break more easily, too. Move to standards that can be tweaked and tailored.
