Excellent article. Nearly every “Customer Service Rep” I have ever worked with stressed to me that they were “not sales”. However, by leveraging their inherent knowledge and propensity to like and love consumer electronics, they rarely feel like they are “selling”; rather, they are simply sharing their passion for technology with someone else. This is an amazingly effective way to drive sales. TP is doing an awesome job of screening for the appropriate “mentality” and then leveraging tools and technology to further enable what the technology advocate would naturally do.
