Originating from the Italian word for "tomato," the Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method based on 25-minute stretches of focused work broken by five-minute breaks. Longer breaks, typically 15 to 30 minutes, are taken after four consecutive work intervals.
?Here's how it works:
1?. Set a Timer: Choose a task you'd like to focus on and set a timer for 25 minutes—the length of one Pomodoro session.
2?. Work Intensely: During the 25-minute interval, work on the task with laser focus, avoiding distractions and interruptions.
3?. Take a Short Break: Once the Pomodoro session is complete, take a short break (usually 5 minutes) to relax, stretch, or grab a quick snack.
4?. Repeat and Rest: After completing four Pomodoro sessions, take a longer break (15-30 minutes) to recharge before starting the next cycle.
