Unlocking the power of remote work : Embracing work from anywhere

Today, I wanted to share a personal story that shines a spotlight on the benefits of remote work and how it has positively impacted my role as a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Dealfront. On my recent working holiday to Spain I got to embrace our company's work from anywhere policy and experienced firsthand the power of flexibility, collaboration, and successful recruitment.

Living in the UK, as we all know the weather isn’t great, and I was craving some sun! So from the 8th to the 12th of May, I took a trip to Spain. Thanks to Dealfront's progressive work from anywhere policy, I was able to leverage the freedom it offered and combine my work responsibilities with personal relaxation time.

I decided to stay in the picturesque coastal town of La Pineda, approximately 100 kilometers from Barcelona, in an adults-only spa hotel sat right on the beach. It was the perfect base to work from and explore the local area in my time off.?

My trip wouldn’t have been complete without visiting some of my colleagues in Barcelona, so I rented a car on the Wednesday and made my way to the city. There, I had the pleasure of meeting my teammate Natalia. With both of us usually being based remotely, it was so nice to spend the day together in person. We chose to work from a local WeWork space and the hours quickly passed. We also had an incredible lunch at a nearby japanese restaurant called Noru- I would highly recommend it! That evening we met up with Paul, our Director of Customer Support, for a catch-up over tapas. The last time the 3 of us were all together was back in October during our annual team week trip to Croatia, so it was the perfect opportunity to catch up and continue solidifying our working relationships.?

As my trip drew to a close, it had the perfect ending before flying home. Sat in Barcelona airport I got to offer a talented candidate the position to join Dealfront’s Sales team, to which he has accepted- my favourite type of call to make!

My journey to Spain served as a vivid reminder of the power of flexibility and remote work. Dealfront's work from anywhere policy not only allows us to explore new destinations but also empowers us to work collaboratively, foster meaningful connections, and attract talent from diverse locations. It is through these experiences that we continue to redefine what it means to thrive in a modern work environment.
