As we approach the holiday season, there's no better time to get creative with practicing gratitude; favoring things you're grateful for in your life is always a good idea - but it has some other benefits. For example, gratitude has been shown to improve one's mental and physical health status, stronger relationship skills, and more perception of overall well-being.
Make gratitude part of your everyday life, not just something you practice on special occasions.
Why?
Simply put, your money mindset can make or break your chances of achieving financial success. The attitude of gratitude can do wonders for your financial outlook.
Gratitude is a powerful tool for shifting from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset, for positive thinking, and for creating a domino effect of other benefits such as increased mindfulness and stronger emotions.
Mindfulness helps us check in with ourselves and ensure we're thinking in a way that will lead to the emotions we seek. Negative thoughts, for instance, will lead to undesirable emotions. However, if you make it a habit to express gratitude regularly, you'll learn to find reasons to be grateful no matter how bad things get. The brighter your outlook, the brighter your life appears.
This shift in perspective not only leads to a more positive outlook but also reduces stress, which everyone can benefit from.
Being grateful is appreciating something or someone, and it may be the key to achieving happiness in life.
Repeated studies have found that practicing gratitude for as little as 5 minutes at a time has a positive impact on the brain.
Practicing gratitude is simple: each day, take a moment to reflect on what you're grateful for. Alternatively, if you prefer to write things down, keep a gratitude journal!
Here are some unique ways you can show gratitude this month:

Give it a try for two weeks and see how your life changes!
Can two weeks change your life that much? It's possible that if you dedicate two weeks to being grateful, you'll see dramatic changes in your life. There is substantial evidence for the merits of gratitude, especially the deliberate cultivation of gratitude. Learn to appreciate the little things in life to develop a positive outlook on life.
Come join me in celebrating 14 days of gratitude!
Each day for two weeks, you focus on finding things (or people) you’re grateful to have in your life, and then you express your gratitude for them. Every day, you'll receive new prompts to help you focus on the positive aspects of your life. I will give you exercises to follow daily — as simple as “write three things that make you special."
If you feel stuck repeating the same things about being grateful for your family or having a place to live, this semi-structured approach can help you branch out. And begin paying attention to all the good in the world around you.
Practicing gratitude helps you become more present at the moment, appreciate the little things, and find the silver lining in even the darkest situations. One of the best things about practicing gratitude is that there is no single, definitive method. The first step is to dive in and figure out what you're good at doing on your own.
You may be surprised at how good it feels.
